After-School Orbit understands that clubs in manga are rarely just clubs. They are rehearsal rooms for belonging, tiny civic structures where students learn how to be witnessed.
The astronomy hook gives the series an elegant visual grammar: distance, scale, and light pollution become emotional metaphors without needing to announce themselves.
Its comedy is broader than its drama, and a few supporting characters arrive as types before they become people. Still, the first volume has enough warmth and visual clarity to make its familiar setup feel freshly observed.
